Introduction & Scope

The nature of the Muuvo business means that, on occasion, we will require some personal details and some business details from our customers and website users.

The information you share with us, along with data on how you use our websites helps us to better understand our customers as a group and as individuals. This in turn helps us to provide a range of products and services that meet your needs.

This Privacy Policy will explain how Muuvo safeguards your information and how we use it to improve our products and services for the benefit of all our customers and website users.

What Data Do We Collect?
Muuvo collects the following data:
  • Personal identification information such as, name, email address, contact telephone number, address, including post code, your moving in/out date, forwarding addresses and password.
  • We also keep other relevant information including your energy supplier, tariff details and your payment details for us to provide you with our switch
  • We may also collect other relevant information from you to provide you with our comparison service where you request that we do so. This may include, but is not limited to, any additional contact details we may reasonably require, details about your existing service provider.
  • We also collect and store your personal Information as you use the Services and each time you interact with Muuvo, for example, when you:
  • update information in your account profile
  • communicate with us by telephone, email, What’s App and social media
  • complete forms on our website.
How Do We Collect Your Data?
You directly provide Muuvo with most of the data we collect. We collect and process data when you:
  • Register online or place an order for any of our products or services
  • Data supplied by your Landlord, Letting or Estate Agent, along with your approval/opt-in and the Agents terms of business that have been signed for by you.
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies
You may also indirectly provide Muuvo with data when you:
  • Opt-in to services from any third-party websites.
How Will We Use Your Data?
Muuvo collects your data so that we can contact you via telephone, email, SMS and social media such as Facebook, Instagram and What’s App to:
  • Process your order and manage your account
  • Contact you with special offers on other products and services we think may be of interest
  • Contacting your local council and utility suppliers when you move in to and out of property where you are bound by their terms of business for us to do so.
If you agree, Muuvo will share your data with our partner companies within Intelling Group so that they may offer you their products and services. Our partner companies include:

When Muuvo processes your order, it may send your data to, and use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

When Muuvo processes your order, it may also send your data to other service providers, for example, payment processors, distributors/agents of our products, suppliers who develop or host our sites.

How Do We Store Your Data?

Muuvo have put in place appropriate security measures and use encryption through technology to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.

Muuvo limits access to your personal data to those employees and other staff who have a business need to have such access. All such people are subject to a contractual duty of confidentiality.

Muuvo have put in place procedures to deal with any actual or suspected personal data breach. In the event of any such breach, we have systems in place to work with applicable regulators. In addition, in certain circumstances (e.g. where we are legally required to do so) we may notify you of this breach.

Muuvo will retain and continue to process your personal information for a period of 3 years from the date you first submit it to Muuvo. If you wish us to stop processing your data for marketing, you can opt-out of marketing at any time.

Data is stored securely and will be deleted permanently after a period of 3 years. Data will be permanently destroyed using AWS data deletion tools.

How We Contact You

By opting in to any of Muuvo’s services, you agree to be contacted by phone, email or other social channels, such as Whats App and Facebook Messenger.

Welcome Call

If you have not opted in for any of the Muuvo services, you may still receive a call or email under the lawful basis of “legitimate interest” in relation to council and utility registrations

Marketing

Muuvo would like to send you information about products and services we think may be of interest, as well as those of our partner companies within Intelling Group. If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may opt out at any time.
You have the right at any time to stop Muuvo from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your data to other members of Intelling Group. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please email: hello@muuvo.vo.uk

What Are Your Data Protection Rights?
Muuvo would like to make sure you are fully aware of all your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
  • The right to access – you have the right to request copies of your personal data from Muuvo. We may charge a fee for this service.
  • The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Muuvo correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Muuvo to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Muuvo erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Muuvo restrict the processing of your personal data , under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Muuvo processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Muuvo transfer the data that we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
